Perth Self Drive - Day 4 Unpleasant day in wonderful place (Margaret River)

The only word I can use to describe today is "unpleasant". Because we can only visit few places thanks to the terrible weather.

I couldn't sleep well the day before due to cold and "scary" sound result from the strong wind and trees.
It was a cloudy morning with sudden rain so my child couldn't enjoy their favorite feeding session.

We started our day trip with Margaret River Chocolate Factory follow by it's own brand wine store, and this was the only place we went. We spent our time here, taste different type of chocolates. And you shouldn't miss this opportunity if you are chocolate fan. I am not the chocolate person but I like it too.

What I tried the most is not wine but the sauce and jam. You can find plenty of sauce, jam, oil and wines here. I am not good in alcohol but my father in-law told me the red wine sell at the Liquor store outside much cheaper and taste better.

The Margaret River Chocolate company has their own grape farm and sell the wine under another brand. It is not the season for grape so we don't have a chance to visit a grape farm.

Visited one of the famous winery place, Voyager Estate. Nothing special but the wine does taste better and the place is so relaxing and grand. We didn't visit their wine factory because the timing is not right and it is not cheap too. I intend to buy them lunch at Voyager estate but they preferred to find other food in Margaret River town.

After searching around, we settled our lunch at one of the restaurants in Margaret River hotel. The ambiance was good and relax. We escaped from the sudden heavy rain again and spent our afternoon here before departure to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse.

Cape Leeuwin is located at South Perth, less than an hour drive from Margaret River. The original plan was drive through the Boranup Forest, Hamelin Bay, and visit some cave before going down to Cape Leeuwin.

Since the weather was not stable and already 2pm, we decided to head down to Cape Leeuwin then visit the cave. As you can see from the video up there, the weather was crazy. Wait half an hour before gave up. I am quite moody and know the rest of the journey will be impacted.
By the time we reach the nearest cave, it was 3:30pm and the Jewel cave is about to close.

Lesson learn, for those plan to visit any cave(s) should go ahead because it is indoor and the last visit is around 3pm. The outdoor attractions can be arranged last. Take note and hope you guys has pleasant trip at Margaret River.
